Introducing… Born to Run: The Naked Truth

Challenge us! Bring us a problem the Born to Run duo can’t solve.

Xero Shoes partners, Christopher McDougall and Eric Orton — aka, the author and coach from Born to Run and Born to Run 2 — have spent their lives studying natural movement and ancestral fitness. They’ve explored every aspect of human endurance, from what we eat, to how we run. So if you’ve got a problem, bring it to the Born to Run guys. If they don’t have the answer, they’ll know where to find it.

This week’s question came from the Customer Happiness team at Xero Shoes.

“Should I order shoes a half-size larger for running?”

That’s one of the questions we hear most at Xero Shoes. Our Customer Happiness reps get calls all the time from customers who want to know if they should leave space in their shoes for running?

So we put the question to the Born to Run duo — aka,  Christopher McDougall and Eric Orton, the author and coach from “Born to Run” and upcoming “Born to Run 2.” Watch the video to see what they say about shoe sizing and more.

It does come to personal preference but watch the video below to hear good tips on what specifically you should do when ordering minimalist shoes.

Why do I have discomfort when I run?”

Xero Shoes’ very own, Alexa Lampasona, should be running free, however, she couldn’t shake nagging discomfort… until Eric Orton got on the case.
