We are a rapidly growing ecommerce shoe company committed to revolutionizing health and wellness by incorporating natural movement into everything we do. Xero Shoes, based in Broomfield, CO is ready for our first head of finance. Reporting to the President, you will be an active member of the senior leadership team and a player-coach for all finance-related activities for the Company. As part of a small, tight-knit team you will work closely with your key partners in sales, marketing, and operations to provide critical planning, accounting, financial operations, and decision support to facilitate Xero’s continued accelerated growth.

Areas of Accountability:

  • All financial functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, external/internal reporting, compliance, cash management, tax, audit, and financial operations (payroll, AR/AP, financial systems, etc.).
  • Review processes and internal controls to drive efficiencies across the organization, understand profitability, execute operational KPIs, and provide commercial and operating insights.
  • Manage procurement, including contract negotiations and administration.
  • Lead a small team, meeting the need for more mature internal controls and compliance without stifling our entrepreneurial culture.
  • Work as part of the senior leadership team to build and execute against company strategy and objectives, including international expansion.
  • Act as a collaborative partner with the investors and board of directors.
  • Effectively partner with banks, capital market providers, and outside service providers (such as audit firms).

You have a reputation as a great colleague, someone who can leverage your business knowledge, tech savviness, financial expertise, and critical thinking to ensure timely and accurate results and positively drive business results. Other important qualities include being highly detailed, self-motivated, analytical, curious, collaborative, transparent, pragmatic, high integrity, and operate with a low tolerance for BS.

You have at least 7 years’ relevant experience building and scaling a finance team in a high growth early-stage company or leading a team of finance professionals at a company or divisional level. Prior experience in a VC/PE environment is helpful as you will be the primary conduit for investor relations, working closely with our new sponsor, the TZP Group. A BS in Accounting/Finance or related and an MBA and/or CPA preferred. This position is local and not eligible for remote work (exclusive of COVID accommodations) or relocation.

It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. The annualized salary for this position ranges between $140,000 and $210,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2. The range listed is just one component of Xero’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and equity awards. The position is located in our corporate office in the Interlocken area of Broomfield, Colorado. Please be aware that this is not a remote position. Our team’s presence is critical to our mission.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to answering phone calls and responding to emails, taking orders, processing refunds and exchanges, and serving walk-in customers.

The successful candidate will have at least two (2) years of customer service experience. Experience in conducting customer service phone calls is strongly recommended.

Given the speed at which our company is growing, you also must be able to think fast, wear a lot of hats and adapt to a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: develop designs and deliver innovative construction and material solutions with efficiency; coordinating, communicating and monitoring progress with the design, digital and sales teams; work with the design team to finalize all tech packages according to production reviews, manufacturing rules and performance; evaluate all samples and corresponding changes for development and progression of footwear designs; participate in sales conferences to deliver samples and analyze designs; provide technical education and training for employees to better understand functionality.

This position is located in our corporate office in the Interlocken area in Broomfield, CO and will report to the Chief Product Officer, with deliverables to graphic design, production and sales teams. An estimated 25% of time will be for required travel when COVID restrictions are lifted.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Design training a plus
  • 4 years in performance footwear development. Athletic shoe experience a plus
  • Previous working experience in textiles, color and graphics in footwear or apparel

We are looking for an eCommerce Web Developer – someone who is a dynamic, ambitious, highly energetic, and self-motivated person able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while leading your team by example.

The purpose of this role would be to bolster our front-end web development capabilities so that we can quickly deploy technical solutions that can help fuel our growth (e.g., new website capabilities / features) and to provide additional support to the wholesale and customer service sides of the business (e.g., IT support, vendor/retailer support, bug fixes, etc.). 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as a front-end developer on all WordPress and WooCommerce projects, ensuring that all DTC properties and 3rd-party integrations are built to modern web standards, deliver high performance, and match the approved functionality and design.
  • Research requirements for implementing new technologies in order to summarize capabilities and propose solutions to address limitations.
  • Continuously identify and develop fixes for bugs and other issues to ensure optimal website performance.
  • Update internal knowledge base and socialize features and functionality with stakeholders in marketing, sales, customer service, and operations.
  • Ensure that all company data are secure, including managing the security of our production and staging environments.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to various internal stakeholders in digital marketing, sales, customer service, and operations.

This position is located in our corporate office in the Interlocken area in Broomfield, CO and will report to the Director of Digital. We are seeking local applicants, no relocation offered.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to apply a deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, mySQL, and PHP functions to create custom solutions in WordPress and WooCommerce.
  • Strong familiarity with the WooCommerce plugin ecosystem – in particular, applications that support routine eCommerce functionality such as order management, CX, and web analytics.
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of the principles of SEO and online marketing.
  • Familiarity with warehouse and order management systems, enterprise resource planning, and customer experience platforms.
  • Ability to design user interfaces that deliver an excellent direct-to-consumer shopping experience.
  • Ability to design custom back-end solutions for internal customers and partners.
  • Experience with Ship Hero, Google Analytics, Help Scout, and other core components of our stack is a plus.
  • WooCommerce experience is required; experience with other eCommerce platforms is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Capturing the brand voice to craft compelling, pitch-perfect marketing copy for first- and third-party digital properties, including our direct-to-consumer website, third-party marketplaces, and partner sites as needed.
