Caring for your Phoenix Leather

Since this version of the Phoenix has a leather upper, it’s a good idea to use a leather conditioner every few months, or as needed if the leather looks dry or dull.

To clean your Phoenix, use any commercially available leather cleaner and follow up with a leather conditioner. For tough spots, gently scrub with a warm, damp cloth or damp soft bristle brush and allow to air dry. Then follow up with a leather conditioner.

WARNING: It is possible to over-condition, which may result in the leather looking and feeling greasy or oily.

Do you ship internationally?

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).

Hard on the toes

The shoes look nice, and I wear them on more dressy occasions, but they are painful on my big toe. I recommend you opt for the knit version which I find more attractive and WAY more comfortable.

Very painful

I bought two pair of these (one brown and one black) and they're terrible. I've worn both several times. Aside from being unattractive in person, these are unbelievably uncomfortable. There is no room, top to bottom, for my toes. The top of the shoe presses so hard on my big toes that my toe nails are bruised. And they have never broken in. I've owned these for several years now and don't even wear them at this point. They aren't cute and they cause me actual pain. All other Xero shoes are amazing! But the women's ballet flats need to be completely redesigned.

Love these

They are comfortable, and professional. It's hard to find good barefoot shoes for work, and these are great. I could not wear them with the extra cushion in them, but great without them, in my normal size.

Of all the Xero Shoes, possibly the worst

I am fully outfitted with about 7 different models of Xero shoes, and of all of them, I'm sorry to say, these are the worst. First, they took some time to "break-in". I've never had to "break-in" Xero shoes. And still the stiff leather has the unfortunate tendency to pinch the back of my heel and rub on the top of my toes. I also never quite feel the wide toebox in these, as they tend to hug my toes a little too close at the side. Though, I feel if I went up a size, they would fall off my feet. I worked as a server at a wedding once in these shoes, about a 9 hour gig, and at the end of the night, my feet, shins, and calves were killing me, the first sensation of killing feet and legs ever after switching to barefoot shoes. I would have worn my Prios for that, just the pair I had weren't black. So that is what I recommend for next time. They are great for going out here or there, but never for an extended period on your feet. On the contrary, the Phoenix knit is a much more comfortable shoe, as it has the soft fabric, and not the stiff leather.

Could be better

Ran way too wide and wouldn't stay on my feet. I ended up adding a lambs wool insert which kind of negates the whole zero drop thing, but I don't wear them often or for very long, and at least they stay on.
