“A great-looking shoe you can race, hike, scramble, and live in. Top-of-the-line design and materials from toe to heel!”
– Leo C.

Scrambler Low – Your Ultralight Hiking and Trail Running Shoe

Get ready to race, hike, scramble, and explore in style with the Scrambler Low – perhaps the lightest, most comfortable, and breathable trail shoe you’ve ever encountered.

Our second collaboration with Michelin, the Scrambler Low, redefines performance, comfort, and versatility.

Tire Inspired Design

The Scrambler Low shares the Michelin made, mountain bike tire-inspired outsole with its sibling, our Scrambler Mid.

The sole uses Michelin’s fiberlite technology, an embedded textile layer that creates a thin, lightweight, flexible, strong product.

Lightweight, Breathable, and Confident

At just 9.3 oz. per shoe (M9), the Scrambler Low weighs less than many hiking sandals.

You’ll enjoy the breathable mesh upper year round.

The iconic Xero Shoes adjustable instep and midfoot straps will help you feel secure no matter where you take the Scrambler Low.

WE MAKE TRAIL RUNNING SHOES SO COMFORTABLE, YOU’LL FORGET THEY’RE EVEN ON.

If your feet don’t feel as good at the end of the day as they did in the beginning, you haven’t tried the Scrambler Low.

Life-changing comfort and superior performance come from letting your feet do what’s natural – bend, move, flex and feel.

All Xero Shoes feature a wider, foot-shaped toe box that lets your toes spread and relax, a non-elevated “zero drop” heel for proper posture, low-to-the-ground design for perfect balance and agility, and a flexible sole that gives you “just right” protection so you can bend, move, flex, and Live Life Feet First!

FAQs

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).
Also, check our Stores page. There may be a Xero Shoes dealer closer to you.

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

You can also take the Gift Certificate code and send it to the recipient.

Please go to Xero Shoes Return Policy page to learn about our 100-day return policy.

So far so good...

I bought these to play ultimate frisbee in after I got a nasty blister from the lacrosse cleats I was wearing. I've put 7 miles on them this past weekend and they held up great. I was playing on a typical low quality soccer field with typical grass/sand mixture and I never felt like I was slipping. So five stars from me for what I needed. I expect them to hold up like the rest of the xero shoes have done for me as well. Job well done.

Good as advertised

You never know how a product will perform, especially when you compare 5 star reviews to 1 star reviews, with the risk of a return policy issue after you thrash the shoes. So, I didn't wear the Scrambler for a while other than going to the gym or walking around the house. The first real action these shoes got was during a Spartan race in FL. They performed as good as advertised during the Spartan Super (10 km & 25 obstacles), even with marsh pits, relatively flat terrain that was muddy in some areas, and of course on the obstacles. Although the Mesa Trail and Aqua X were suggested, I felt that I needed something that could hold up better and I was willing to sacrifice a little bit of the water removal capability for the ability to remain comfortable and not blow out during the various obstacles. Thus far, I'm pleased with the purchase and wonder if the Mesa Trail and Aqua X would've held up as well based on some of the reviews.

Xero Shoes

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled to hear that the Scrambler Mid II held up so well during the Spartan Super and performed just as you hoped. It's great that you found the balance between comfort and durability, especially during such challenging terrain and obstacles. We truly appreciate your thoughtful comparison to other models and your trust in our shoes. We hope the Scramblers continue to serve you well, and we’re excited to be a part of your adventure! If you ever need anything, we’re here to help. Thanks again for the fantastic review!

Great for distance hiking

I have very flat feet and a history of rolling my ankles on steep terrain in anything with much sole thickness. So thin-soled shoes were a game-changer when I first discovered them. The brand I was hooked on stopped making their thin-soled shoes, and a colleague suggested Xero shoes. The first "break-in" hike was 11 miles. No soreness, no stone bruises, no blisters! I just completed 18 miles and +4,500ft elevation yesterday alone. The weight is awesome. I have elastic, no-tie laces installed, and there are enough lace holes to where I can get good cinching on my feet (so my feet don't slide forward and my toes don't cram against the toe-box for steep downhills). I did notice that on a dry, slick rock (seasonal waterfall), traction wasn't so good. But they seem to be great on dirt and textured hard rock. I'm curious how they will hold up against the sharp, hard limestone present locally in the NM desert.

Sad

I haven't had these no time. Except to break them in, I only wear at work. A hole in the toe area is already developing.
