These socks work great when it's a little cold out, and you want to go for a run in your Xero Shoes! They're snug, breathable, and have a good amount of grip, so you don't get any slippage between your socks and the Xero Shoes. And if you have a little play in your laces, these socks snug things up perfectly... you'll forget you're not really wearing shoes!
So I finally tried out my toe sox, and I'm so happy that I did!!! They worked and kept my toes warm on my morning run in Nebraska. My feet stayed right where they needed in my ztrails. Never thought I would be running in ztrails during a frosty December morning. I'm getting more!
It took me a while to come around to ordering these, but I'm so glad I did. I'm a cheapskate, so first I tried to make do with the yoga toe socks they sell in stores - but the fabric wasn't right and the grippy soles were too lumpy-feeling under my feet, so I gave up on them quickly. I've had no such problem with these. They're comfortable, just warm enough to take the painful chill off, and just feel really good 🙂
The only things I would like to see different: more color choices like what are featured in the ToeSalad review, and toe socks that were more like mittens than gloves (on have the separation between the first two toes, and keep all the other toes together). I think that will feel more natural, especially since my smaller toes don't much like having fabric between them.
I bought these about a month ago when the imminent winter chill drove me to check into warmer options in order to continue running through the winter. I perused Vivo products and other minimalist shoes, but-- I have to come back to them. Xeroshoes are just the most minimalistic, comfortable product. I couldn't let the cold get in the way of the light, free stride these provide.
Having only $15 to lose I gave these a try. My toes slip easily into the "toe glove". The grips on the bottom are pretty firm, but advantageously so. Around the house link, crumbs, and other junk does not stick to them nor does moisture linger to cause any slipping. Other non-slip grip socks have seemingly softer grips and I'd imagine would wear out quickly. Bottom line: you get what you pay for. $15. One pair. But you get a good pair worth it.
Looking forward to running more with these in the future.
These socks are great! They have a strong grip that works perfectly with your sandals, they are made of a nice material, and so far, they are surprisingly durable. My only issue with them is that they don't quite fit, as the toe sizes don't all match up with my own.
