Here’s a quick video showing you how to measure your feet and get the correct size for your Xero Shoes DIY sandal kits.
In short, here’s what you do:
- Place a piece of paper against a wall (if you have VERY large feet, use a piece of newspaper)
- Place your foot on the paper, with your heel against the wall
- Make a mark on the paper at the furthest point away from the wall… this will either be just in front of your big toe or second toe
- Take a ruler and measure from the edge of the paper to the mark you made.
- You’ll use this measurement to select the right size of our DIY kits.
(For our ready-to-wear sandals, you can find the best size with the templates at Sizing Info for Xero Shoes)
I love how I can see your tan line from the shoes! Haha! You’re definitely a supporter of your own product.
With VERY few exceptions, I’ve been in Xeros non-stop since August 2009 🙂
I unfortunately did not use this method to measure my feet (my own fault) and ended up ordering too small….my heels hang over 🙁
You obviously have not noticed the Amuri line. However, I like most people prefer the ‘do it yourself’ kit. Maybe it is the [Ikea effect](http://beyondphilosophy.com/ever-heard-of-the-ikea-effect-increasing-perceived-value-while-reducing-costs/)? If it is, I certainly hope Steven is able to build an empire just as Ikea has – because I intend to purchase and Xero Shoes for the rest of my life.
I agree. Steven contacted me shortly after my post and provided excellent customer service. I have been a dedicated consumer and strong supporter of Xero Shoes ever since. I even recommended them in a subsequent edition of my book.
