FAQs

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).
Also, check our Stores page. There may be a Xero Shoes dealer closer to you.

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

You can also take the Gift Certificate code and send it to the recipient.

Xero is the Move

As a physical therapist who also trains and works with professional basketball players, full foot function is always a top priority. Most basketball shoes focus on cushion and support but overlook what the foot is actually designed to do. Xero basketball shoes are different. They let the foot splay, engage, and absorb force—without getting in the way. Traditional shoes often restrict motion and dull sensory input. Xero strikes a rare balance: functional protection that doesn’t limit natural movement. In a sport built on quick cuts, explosive power, and repeatable durability, foot health matters. If you’re serious about long-term performance and real biomechanics, Xero is the move. I received these shoes complimentary in exchange for an honest review.

Love the barefoot experience-X1

I love everything about them except for the grip not lasting long. All my footwear are barefoot shoes. So I can move naturally and the shoes provide a killer first step. Great lateral movement and just the right amount of cushion for landing. My feet aren’t sore after games, I am able to use all of my toes. Better grip would make these the perfect basketball shoes. I would give 3 stars but this is the first basketball barefoot shoe.

Great, would like a couple minor changes

By far my favorite basketball shoes but I would like to see a couple different options to give more life to these shoes. Sole rubber: I would like to see an option with a more traditional rubber, maybe something like the court 360 model as that rubber seems to be a lot more resilient and not pick up as much dust as this translucent rubber Upper: I have the white pair and they have turned yellow in the toes after only a few hours of play. I would like to see something that doesn't get sweat stains as easily.. or maybe I should just get the yellow pair. Heel lockdown: I have the low model and if I don't wear mid rise crew socks these give me a nasty blister on my Achilles. But it's not much of an issue to just wear higher socks

I wish I didn't have to do this...

TL;DR - 5’7” 180 lbs: I love everything about these... except the traction. I've played on 6-7 courts now, and unless the floor is squeaky clean, prepare to slip and slide to varying degrees. The details: I've been wearing minimalist shoes since 2011 - I've been waiting for these shoes for 14 years. I've even daydreamed about starting a company to produce my own basketball shoes, so I was incredibly excited when these were announced. For the past nearly 3 years (when I started playing more frequently), I’ve been wearing Xero 360s. The traction on the 360s is fantastic for basketball and they don’t mark the court, but I’ve torn through the upper of 3 pairs. Enter the X1 The X1 is deceivingly light and, while stiffer than anticipated, I did expect them to be stiffer than "normal" Xeros. I have come to like the stiffness, and it’s certainly not so much that my foot can’t behave like a foot. The width is great for my wide feet, the cushion is maybe a bit more than I would have liked and the profile maybe a touch high (though I’ve worn thin shoes for so long that perhaps I’m just sensitive to the height), but I’m happy with all that and didn’t remove stars for any of that. I honestly have really come to love these shoes and would give a 4.5 - 5-star review except… The traction. I’ve had these shoes for over a month now and typically play 3-4 times/week. I’ve played on 6 or 7 different courts. Unless the court is really clean, I’ve found myself slipping and sliding to varying degrees. So much so that, now that I’ve given them a good run, I plan to wear my 360s on dirty courts and sacrifice a bit of the other features I appreciate about the X1 (stiffness, cushion, durability) for better traction, and on cleaner courts I’ll wear the X1 and put up with a little bit of slipping. I don’t have the luxury of playing on squeaky clean, well-maintained courts. I play in rec centers, churches, and school gyms like most other people, which is why I’m leaving this unfortunate review. I was lucky to have the following comparison to highlight my point: the first time I used them was on a dirty court that hadn’t been refinished for a few years. I was so frustrated that day that I nearly cried from my disappointment after an hour of being on ice skates - again, I’ve waited a long time for these. This court ended up being refinished shortly after, and, on the first day back on a shiny court, the traction was really good (still better with the 360, though). I have owned probably a dozen or more pairs of Xeros and I’m pretty loyal to the brand. I trust that the X1 will improve with another iteration, but it’s incredibly disappointing that I’ll probably have to wait a couple of years for a model with better traction.
