Scrambler Low – Your Ultralight Hiking and Trail Running Shoe

Get ready to race, hike, scramble, and explore in style with the Scrambler Low – perhaps the lightest, most comfortable, and breathable trail shoe you’ve ever encountered.

Our second collaboration with Michelin, the Scrambler Low, redefines performance, comfort, and versatility.

SLM-LUOR_Scrambler-Low_Legion-Blue-Orange_Apex_00260

Tire Inspired Design

The Scrambler Low shares the Michelin made, mountain bike tire-inspired outsole with its sibling, our Scrambler Mid.

The sole uses Michelin’s fiberlite technology, an embedded textile layer that creates a thin, lightweight, flexible, strong product.

Lightweight, Breathable, and Confident

At just 9.3 oz. per shoe (M9), the Scrambler Low weighs less than many hiking sandals.

You’ll enjoy the breathable mesh upper year round.

The iconic Xero Shoes adjustable instep and midfoot straps will help you feel secure no matter where you take the Scrambler Low.

WE MAKE TRAIL RUNNING SHOES SO COMFORTABLE, YOU’LL FORGET THEY’RE EVEN ON.

If your feet don’t feel as good at the end of the day as they did in the beginning, you haven’t tried the Scrambler Low.

Life-changing comfort and superior performance come from letting your feet do what’s natural – bend, move, flex and feel.

All Xero Shoes feature a wider, foot-shaped toe box that lets your toes spread and relax, a non-elevated “zero drop” heel for proper posture, low-to-the-ground design for perfect balance and agility, and a flexible sole that gives you “just right” protection so you can bend, move, flex, and Live Life Feet First!

Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting them in the washing machine or dryer.

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).
Also, check our Stores page. There may be a Xero Shoes dealer closer to you.

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

You can also take the Gift Certificate code and send it to the recipient.

Please go to Xero Shoes Return Policy page to learn about our 45-day return policy.

Excellent All Around Shoe

Comfortable right out of the box. Needed very little break in. I took them on a 9 mile hike at Mt. Major in NH and they performed Stellar. The trails had some mud and some scrambling on boulders up to various peaks. They look great too!

Super comfy, super protective, super light

Just a great shoe. As is normal with Xero shoes, there is no break in period. The shoes run true to size (13) and were comfy from the very first run which was mixed gravel/dirt/single track. Really shone in wet conditions, as well as on a steep downhill gravel where I could go harder than normal and was fully confident my feet would stick. I'm torn now, as I have a pair of Mesa Trails that have done 1600km, but I think the Scramblers are best for those small 1-2cm rocks that can hurt! It's now my go to for trails, and is also capable on the road getting to the trails. Great shoe.

Love them!!!

I broke my left hip and both ankles I love to hike in the range of about 10 miles, I have tried all different kinds of shoes, Nike, adidas, etc, though I found the perfect shoe with the Adidas product until I took the chance on the Zero shoes, it was a total game changer, it changed the way I walk my strides are more efficient, I get excited just looking at them, I was about to give up on finding the right shoes for me until I found the Zero shoes, bet idea and best product ever for me. Look outside the box and try a pair. I just turned 60 so they are not just for young people. Thanks Guys, Robbie

Scrambler low

Awesome shoes!! Great feel in the footbed roomy toe box great traction. I believe you've struck gold with these shoes, out of the 5 pair of xero shoes I own it will be a tie between the Ridgeway and scrambler low. I will 10 star both the shoes mentioned above, if your looking for great shoes I recommend either pair you will not be disappointed.

Amazing Trail Shoes!

When I saw these in the new fall line up of shoes, I knew I had to try a pair. My original Mesa Trails have done me wonderfully for years, but I wanted a stylish, comfy, performance trail shoe to take on my trip to Switzerland. I only ran in these once before running my first marathon - the Jungfrau marathon (half road, half trail with a 1,953 meter altitude increase from start to finish). In the following days, I used them for a Via Ferrata, a long hike near the Matterhorn, and hiking the Brienzergrat (Brienzer Rothorn to Harder Kulm near Interlaken). The grip was so necessary there, as it’s the most dangerous trail I’ve ever done and has wild ascents and descents along numerous mountain ridges and peaks. They held up beautifully and my feet feel amazing. Thank you!

Mad at myself for not buying them sooner!

I LOVE these shoes! The width, the traction, the colors, all of it! I’ve had a couple of ankle surgeries, and have to be careful with which zero drop shoes I buy - some are too flat and hard which create pain through my ankle but so far I am really happy and excited about these!!

Different is good

I have been interested in Xero shoes for a long time now, and the concept of a shoe built to let your foot work the way it was meant to, instead of shoes trying to take all the work out of you foot. I finally gave the Scrambler trail runner a try, and absolutely love it! You feel lighter, more connected to the road and the trail — like you’re wearing nothing at all, but still protected and cushioned. It was a difficult balance, and Xero shoes strike it excellently.
