Why you’ll love Ridgeway Mesh Low

Ridgeway Mesh Low – Look Good On and Off the Trail

Conquer any terrain confidently with the Ridgeway Mesh Low. Designed for long approaches, the aggressive toothy outsole ensures steady traction on the trails.

The abrasion-resistant toe guard adds an extra layer of protection against rugged surfaces. This shoe’s sleek design is not only ready for any adventure but stylish enough to wear around town afterward.

A shoe that can handle hiking trails and rocks but looks cool enough that I would wear with jeans and a tee.

Breathable Mesh Upper

The vegan-friendly Ridgeway Mesh Low features an engineered mesh that provides optimal breathability, allowing your feet to stay fresh, dry, and comfortable throughout your outdoor endeavors.

A “Midsole Illusion”

It might look like the Ridgeway Mesh Low has a thick midsole. Actually, we took our embedded TrailFoam™ layer (that evens out the bumps) and wrapped it around the upper, giving the illusion of thickness. You’ll still enjoy the flexibility and natural movement you expect from Xero Shoes.

Grippy Outsole and Protective Toe Guard

Trail-friendly tread is ready to take you up and down nearly every trail, path, and mountain imaginable. The durable toe cap provides the added protection you need for off-road endeavors.

Averaging just 10.6 oz (men’s 9), the Ridgeway Mesh Low is not only lighter than most technical shoes but even lighter than many running shoes.

Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting them in the washing machine or dryer.

FAQs

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).
Also, check our Stores page. There may be a Xero Shoes dealer closer to you.

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

You can also take the Gift Certificate code and send it to the recipient.

another good Xero shoe

the ridgeway mesh low is a lot like it appears. good shoe. good traction. true to size. pretty comfortable. it stinks like the formaldehyde(?) plastic it is made of in china! even weeks after I received them. Pew! all in all, it's a fine shoe that will go anyplace. thanks again, Xero.

Mixed feelings

After about a month of wearing a cheap pair of Whitin shoes from Amazon I wanted to step up to a real brand. I really appreciate the wide toolbox and zero drop feeling as well as the ability to feel the ground. I have mixed feelings about these because although the build quality is far superior they actually seemed more narrow for my feet and I could feel pressure in the arch. I also have a large ankle bone and these rub on the inside. They might actually be better as a transitional shoe since there is more between you and the ground with these. The design around the tow box actually makes your feet look small, which has a weird visual effect. If I had paid full price I would have returned them but on sale they are worth keeping to continue the barefoot journey. I walked a few miles in them the other day and the grip for walking up large rocks was great. You have confidence feet. I am recovering from a sprained ankle though (jiu-jitsu injury) and these rub next day I knew I had set myself back… so I’ll put them back on after that feels better.

Xero Shoes

Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed review! We’re glad to hear you appreciate the wide toe box, zero-drop design, and ground feel of your Xero Shoes, as well as their excellent grip on various terrains. We understand the transition to barefoot-style footwear can take some adjustment, especially when recovering from an injury like a sprained ankle. Fit and comfort are incredibly important, and we’re sorry to hear about the pressure in the arch and rubbing around the ankle. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’ll pass it along to our design team. We hope these shoes serve you well on your barefoot journey!

These are not Prios

I bought a pair of Prios at REI. Surprisingly comfortable. I wanted see if a minimal shoe helped my plantar fasciitis. The associate at REI said that if they aggravated my plantar fasciitis, I could return them. No need to because they actually helped reduce the pain. I wear them everywhere and work out in them. I spend the winter in Arizona and wanted a thicker sole to be hiking around the desert where I might step on spiky things. I thought the Ridgeway would do the trick, but these soles are really stiff compared the Prio. I've only worn them today and I'm feeling a little bit of PF pain coming back. Since I've worn them, I guess I'm stuck with them. Maybe I should have tried out the Altra Superior that the REI associate also recommended. At least I could have tried those on before purchasing them or at least given them a chance to break in. I give the shoes 3 stars because the fit is good and roomy in the toe box. I think that I might agree with other reviews that they seem a half size too large in length. I felt the same way about the Prios, but I got used to it. People who turn to Xero are concerned about their feet and want to be sure the fit and comfort are what they expect so I think the return policy is pretty harsh for an online purchase. I suggest that you try these out in a brick-and-mortar store before making a decision. I ordered my wife a pair of the Scrambler Lows and they seem more flexible so I might have gone in that direction if were able to try them both.

Xero Shoes

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We’re glad the Prios have been a great fit and helped reduce your plantar fasciitis pain—many customers appreciate their comfort and flexibility. We’re sorry to hear the Ridgeway didn’t quite meet your needs. Its stiffer sole is designed for added protection on rough terrain, but we understand this might not align with everyone’s preferences. We appreciate your suggestions on trying options in-store and will share your thoughts about our policies with the team. Your insight helps us continue improving, and we’re here if you’d like recommendations for a more flexible hiking option!
