Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting them in the washing machine or dryer.

What’s different between TerraFlex and Mesa Trail?

The TerraFlex is our first shoe designed for trails. With a rugged, stitched upper, it’s great for running and hiking.

The Mesa Trail is made more specifically for trail running, with a lightweight breathable mesh upper, extra moisture wicking lining, and a protective welded covering for the adjustable midfoot and instep straps.

Both shoes have a grippy, lugged, dual-chevron tread, and a 3mm TrailFoam layer (“hiding” in the outsole) for just-right protection and comfort.

Do you ship internationally?

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).

3rd pair!

I love xero shoes. I’m a movement and manual therapist, specializing in feet and at least half of my clients are in xero shoes. That said, I have a lot of trouble with fit. My closet is full of size 7 shoes and my smallest xero is an 8. They only fit if I don’t wear socks. For winter, I need an 81/2 so I can wear socks. My clients have either gone up a half size or needed to. (Sometimes you have to wear them to know). I love the soles, it’s like having Velcro on the bottom of your shoes. Wet, mossy rocks? No problem! I bought a pair of boots to wear in The Great Bear Rainforest in BC and had the warmest, driest feet in our group. Plus they are so lightweight that you can skip around like you’re barefoot-only stickier. The laces are another thing that is less than perfect. They are slippery and constantly come untied. I just switch them out for locking laces, but that adds to the cost of an already pricey shoe. Still, in spite of these minor flaws, I’ve walked through 2 pairs of Mesa Trails and just ordered my third. I got serious mileage out of them, because I walk everywhere. Plus, the colors are lovely. Highly recommend.

Was so excited to try these shoes. I wear an 8 so ordered 8 and 8 1/2, both were too small and the material so hard and stiff I felt they would never be comfortable. Very disappointed.

Love these!

I love these shoes. They're waterproof so I can walk through tall wet grass with my dogs without getting wet socks. They also seem lighter than the waterproof ones got last year, although that could be my imagination. Whatever, they're great and comfortable. Size is the same as other Xero shoes I've gotten.

Extremely disappointed

I've bought three pairs of Xero shoes. My first shoes were the Prios, and I couldn't believe how great they were! Since I wore them so much, I bought the Mesa Trail 2. As I live in a rainy area, I decided to make a big splurge since I'm on permanent disability, and I bought the Mesa Trail WP. I wore the shoes once in our first rain, and the entire front section got completely soaked when I grazed a very shallow puddle. My socks were soaked and I was so disappointed after spending a huge (for me) amount of money. These shoes were also extremely stiff and very uncomfortable, unlike my other two Xero shoes. It was like wearing a different, grossly inferior brand. Puzzled, I took a close look at the Xero site's review section and saw that other people had the EXACT same concern about the stiffness and poor fit! After I reached out to Xero Customer Service, I was told, "We consider that a manufacturing defect and we can replace them for free." Manufacturing defect? The fact these expensive shoes were not waterproof was bad enough, but the material and construction were AWFUL. That's not a manufacturing defect. That's the result of a poorly made, cheap shoe. I'm being gaslit, and if Xero could do the right thing and simply refund my money, then they will retain me as a customer Sadly it seems this co. has lost its soul (no pun intended), and after I was told my poorly designed shoes were a defect instead a a simple return makes me want to buy from another shoe company. I'm hoping for a miracle: that the Customer Happiness Team sees to it that the ethical action is taken here.

INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED; TERRIBLE "CUSTOMER SERVICE" EXPERIENCE

SADLY IT SEEMS LIKE THIS COMPANY HAS LOST ITS SOUL (no pun intended), and after I was told my poorly designed shoes were a "defect" instead of processing a simple return due to extenuating circumstances makes me want to buy from another shoe company. I'm hoping for a miracle: that the Customer Happiness Team sees to it that the ethical action is taken here.
