The breathable, mesh upper gets rid of the weight and keeps you cool. The moisture-wicking lining helps keep you dry. The welded protective covering of the adjustable midfoot and instep straps adds durability. The lugged, dual-chevron tread gives you sure-footed traction. And the “hidden” 3mm TrailFoam™ layer adds the right amount of protection and comfort.

Caring for your Mesa Trails

To clean your Mesa Trails, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting the Mesa Trail in the washing machine or dryer.

What’s different between TerraFlex and Mesa Trail?

The TerraFlex is our first shoe designed for trails. With a rugged, stitched upper, it’s great for running and hiking.

The Mesa Trail is made more specifically for trail running, with a lightweight breathable mesh upper, extra moisture wicking lining, and a protective welded covering for the adjustable midfoot and instep straps.

Both shoes have a grippy, lugged, dual-chevron tread, and a 3mm TrailFoam layer (“hiding” in the outsole) for just-right protection and comfort.

Do you ship internationally?

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).

How do I send a gift certificate?

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

They are my first pair of minimalist athletic shoes and I love them! They are so comfortable on my long hikes in Montana 🙂

Great barefoot trail shoes!

I’ve hiked in them, run in them, walked in them, jogged on the beach in them, and I really love them! I’ve only owned Xero sandals before these, but there will be more shoes like this in my future, I’m sure!

These shoes. Mesa Trail, are the bomb!! I LOVE them and my feet are over 64 years old! I’ll buy another pair. Make them in dark Brownish Red for me! Please?? Earth colored red. Or reddish brown. LOL. Very Happy with them.

Bad sizing!

These shoes were unsatisfactory due to poor sizing. Having spent a considerable time researching alternative minimalist shoes, I decided on purchasing these shoes and followed the sizing recommendations. Having purchased sandals, road running shoes and now trail shoes from this manufacturer, it seems that there is a marked inconsistency in sizing. My Z-trail sandals are size 35 and fit perfectly, my old running shoes were size 36 and way too big, and my Mesa trail size 35.5 are very much too small even without inner sole and socks, which suggests that it is simply not possible to buy shoes that fit based solely on the actual number of size. Although, when they have fitted, the shoes have been perfectly fine, it is simply not worth the time and effort ordering shoes just to have them arrive and not fit my feet. They are very good shoes, but are not worth buying while they continue to be incorrectly sized.

Hi Agnieszka, Thank you for your feedback. All of our sizing is based off of customer feedback, based on normal US sizing. Some of our styles do run small or large, which is noted on each page.
