Q: What do I do with those Straps on the TerraFlex?

This is one of my favorite features in the TerraFlex . The huarache-sandal inspired heel strap can be used to hold your heel and ankle in place. Pull the straps through the ankle holes in the sole, and then lock them in place with the laces. The instep straps can be used to secure your instep, which can free up your toes and forefoot to relax and function better. Use the laces to tighten or loosen them to your liking.

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting them in the washing machine or dryer.

What’s different between TerraFlex and Mesa Trail?

The TerraFlex is our first shoe designed for trails. With a rugged, stitched upper, it’s great for running and hiking.

The Mesa Trail is made more specifically for trail running, with a lightweight breathable mesh upper, extra moisture wicking lining, and a protective welded covering for the adjustable midfoot and instep straps.

Both shoes have a grippy, lugged, dual-chevron tread, and a 3mm TrailFoam layer (“hiding” in the outsole) for just-right protection and comfort.

What can I do in the TerraFlex?

With it’s grippy, lugged soles, the TerraFlex is built for running and hiking on trails.

Great trail shoes

I was looking for some barefoot shoes to use on local trails and these have not disappointed thus far. Very comfortable and they will hopefully hold up well on some rocky trails.

Fixable

I really like these, except for the insole that insists on sliding backward up my heel as I walk. I've contacted Xero, so we'll see, but for the moment I've cannibalized a different pair of shoes for their insoles, which work fine (but leave the others out in the cold because the Xero insoles don't fit them, despite being the same size; root of the problem?)

I have known about Xero shoes for quite a while, but finally got my own pair of shoes. They are so amazing, and I look forward to more purchases. I use them for disc golf all the time.

Xero with a one in front rating

The barefoot concept is working well for me. My feet are cleaning out debris from years of incorrect pronation. My ankles are re-aligning nicely as well. My overall pace has been enhanced as well. I've already recommended Xero to family members and friends. Surprised you don't designate width size options for those with feet of girth and bunions. One width size fits all makes me re-order at least with an additional 1/2 size increase.
