Product Description

“The Mesa Trail II is even better than the original! It feels grippier on different trail surfaces, and is one of the lightest trail runners out there.  – Alex L.

Tens of thousands of Xero Shoes customers loved the Mesa Trail’s combination of lightweight comfort and trail-gripping security.

The Mesa Trail II improves on that with more rugged, durable, and protective welded components on the upper, a breathable mesh, and a moisture-wicking lining that’s ready for wherever you take it.

FEEL CONNECTED TO YOUR WORLD WHEN YOU RUN IN THE MESA TRAIL II

LIGHTWEIGHT COMFORT

You’ll love hitting the trails with this “just right” balance of lightweight comfort and trail-gripping security. At just 8.2oz for a men’s size 9, the Mesa Trail II is even lighter than the original.

The adjustable midfoot and instep straps hug this trail runner snugly to your foot. The thin, durable toe cap and tough sidewall welding work hard to give you added protection.

TRAIL-GRIPPING

Our patented FeelTrue™ sole features 3.5mm lugs for optimal traction. Enjoy how our 3.5mm TrailFoam™ layer evens out the bumps during your trail run.

WE MAKE TRAIL RUNNING SHOES SO COMFORTABLE, YOU’LL FORGET THEY’RE EVEN ON.

If your feet don’t feel as good at the end of the day as they did in the beginning, you haven’t tried the Mesa Trail II.

Life-changing comfort and superior performance come from letting your feet do what’s natural – bend, move, flex and feel.

All Xero Shoes feature a wider, foot-shaped toe box that lets your toes spread and relax, a non-elevated “zero drop” heel for proper posture, low-to-the-ground design for better balance and agility, and a flexible sole that gives you the combination of grip, protection, and ground-feel your brain wants to help you Live Life Feet First.

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).
Also, check our Stores page. There may be a Xero Shoes dealer closer to you.

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

You can also take the Gift Certificate code and send it to the recipient.

Please go to Xero Shoes Return Policy page to learn about our 45-day return policy.

Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting them in the washing machine or dryer.

Love the concept of barefoot shoes, need quality control

I like the comfort and the idea of a barefoot shoes, thats why I continue to buy Xero shoes. But I am not a fan of the quality control, cus my mesa trail 2 has the same issue as the original mesa trail, the sole of the shoes keep riding up when walking, it would not stay in place. So I would use the shoes without the sole, which I believe was the reason why the original mesa trail would fall apart so quickly.

Wide foot

I like them very much. I would like a wider toe box though...

Cannot Recommend

Summary: o Size is too large o Not enough protection on the side of the shoe o Sharp rocks and roots can injure the runner through the sole o Exchange policy too rigid I enjoy trail running about 18 miles through the forest per week, and have been doing this for years. I always run with zero drop and minimal padding. This shoe feels nice on the foot and has good traction, but the benefits end there. The shoe is too long causing more trips and falls on the trail than usual; it seems I need at lease 1/2 size smaller (I was under the impression that this was corrected with verson II). The longer size has caused a number of falls and injuries for me on the trail already. I've run about 20 miles so far with a significant jab in side of the shoe from a stick/debris on the trail about once every 3-4 miles; same thing for the sole; thankfully, no foot injury. The return policy should be more flexible for such a drastically different shoe; maybe return for 1/2 off exchange within the 45 day window for those who actually tried to run with the shoes. I did reach out to customer service, but have not heard back from them. thx!

Not as durable as Mesa Trail I

It seems like these are not as durable as the Mesa Trail I. I used both pairs of shoes exactly the same, but it seems like the II wore out much much quicker. With the Mesa Trail I, I could wear those until the tread wore off the soles without any other issues.

Ultra light hiking shoe

This shoe has tons of room around my toes, so I can wear thick socks and not feel bunched up. The tread is super grippy and great for hiking.

Great shoes!

I bought these trail shoes to use when I ride my hybrid bicycle with flat pedals. They are comfortable and the tread sticks to the pedals like glue! If you’re on the fence about purchasing these trail shoes, my suggestion is to do it! You won’t be disappointed!!

Perfect trail shoe

I’ve tried so many minimalist shoes for hiking. I finally settled on these. I like them better than the Terra Flex too as they’re a bit softer on the outsole and can feel the ground just enough without compromising on protection

Comfortable shoe.

So far it is a very comfortable shoe and my feet are getting used to them. We will see if they last 5000 miles.

Love my Xero shoes! My old Mesa Trails were my favorite shoes and the MTII's seem to be living up their predecessor, although the Speed Force's are giving them stuff competition. The only issue that I have with my Xero shoes is that I no longer can wear any of my old "normal" shoes, so I have a bunch of things to clear out of my closet.
