Product Description

“The Mesa Trail II is even better than the original! It feels grippier on different trail surfaces, and is one of the lightest trail runners out there.  – Alex L.

Tens of thousands of Xero Shoes customers loved the Mesa Trail’s combination of lightweight comfort and trail-gripping security.

The Mesa Trail II improves on that with more rugged, durable, and protective welded components on the upper, a breathable mesh, and a moisture-wicking lining that’s ready for wherever you take it.

FEEL CONNECTED TO YOUR WORLD WHEN YOU RUN IN THE MESA TRAIL II

LIGHTWEIGHT COMFORT

You’ll love hitting the trails with this “just right” balance of lightweight comfort and trail-gripping security. At just 7.8oz for a men’s size 9, the Mesa Trail II is even lighter than the original.

The adjustable midfoot and instep straps hug this trail runner snugly to your foot. The thin, durable toe cap and tough sidewall welding work hard to give you added protection.

TRAIL-GRIPPING

Our patented FeelTrue™ sole features 3.5mm lugs for optimal traction. Enjoy how our 3.5mm TrailFoam™ layer evens out the bumps during your trail run.

WE MAKE TRAIL RUNNING SHOES SO COMFORTABLE, YOU’LL FORGET THEY’RE EVEN ON.

If your feet don’t feel as good at the end of the day as they did in the beginning, you haven’t tried the Mesa Trail II.

Life-changing comfort and superior performance come from letting your feet do what’s natural – bend, move, flex and feel.

All Xero Shoes feature a wider, foot-shaped toe box that lets your toes spread and relax, a non-elevated “zero drop” heel for proper posture, low-to-the-ground design for better balance and agility, and a flexible sole that gives you the combination of grip, protection, and ground-feel your brain wants to help you Live Life Feet First.

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).
Also, check our Stores page. There may be a Xero Shoes dealer closer to you.

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

You can also take the Gift Certificate code and send it to the recipient.

Please go to Xero Shoes Return Policy page to learn about our 45-day return policy.

Caring for your Xero Shoes

Brilliant! Probably the best minimalistic shoes I have used on moderate to technical trails.

Different is good!

These are wildly different from my other athletic shoes. No cushion, no arch support, etc. But different is good! They are comfortable and don’t cause fatigue in my calves. Love ‘em.

Love these shoes!

I absolutely love these shoes. They are lightweight, comfortable, and built really well. Like other reviewers, the insole in one of the shoes refuses to remain in place and continues to slide backwards. I’m going to try the carpet tape trick and see if that corrects the issue.

Mesa Trail - Mens

Your product is superb. I received a tip to try Zero shoes for my walking/golf game. I purchased a pair and have worn them for three rounds of golf. Absolutely amazing! I’m over 70 years so you know how important comfortable shoes need to be. Yours are! They grip the ground yet leave no marks on golf greens. I’m hooked.

Extremely comfortable

As always these Xero shoes are extremely comfortable, light and well designed. The expanded colors and patterns to choose from are also very attractive. Much more choices compared to 5 or 6 years ago.

Real World Application...So Far

I am a career firefighter, that requires extremely durable footwear to wear with my daily shift uniform. They receive significant amounts of abuse through daily duties, trainings, and medical emergencies. In addition to durability, they must be easy to clean, and able to dry quickly (since I wanted a breathable, non-waterproof shoe). I have recently become intrigued with the many benefits of minimalist shoes and had searched across the Internet to find a "true" minimalist shoe that could stand up to the test. Thus far, the Mesa Trail II has been the perfect choice to deliver those highly desired minimalist features while handling anything I can throw at it! I am so pleased with my purchase, and hope that they continue to impress over time. Thanks Xero!

Very Happy

Lovin my new Mesa ll's. If you had Mesa l's, sizing for me was correct 1/2 size smaller than the l's. Not sure if I can tell the difference with the new version because my original pair was so used up but the new ones are WAY better than my old ones, but that could just be because of condition. Either way, very happy.

Game Changer

Been running trails for a while and always wanted to get into minimalist barefoot shoes to run trails, didn’t make the transition until just now. These shoes are very different than what I’m used to but as I’ve learned to run properly over the years, the transition has been fairly easy. The biggest difference is feeling every single bump on the sole of the shoe and that took a couple of runs to get used to however now, it’s feels like I’ve been running in these for a while. Those that run with heels touching the ground, I would highly suggest you start running with on your forefoot and get that down before you move into something like this. Your heels and joints will hurt if you move into these too fast and without and preparation. I’ve only ran a few times in these but as the weather is starting to cool off in the arid desert of AZ, I will be running more. So far, they’re holding up great and are very comfortable right off the bat. The mid part of the shoe as well as the heel feel fairly tight as if you’re wearing a sock and there is no sliding around at all. I wear toe socks with these and I’ve been blasting through the downhill portions of the trail I run on. Soles are very grippy and I feel as if my feet are more stable in these than in my La Sportiva Bushidos. All in all, I love these and will continue to run in and enjoy them. Would highly recommend.
