We made the Mesa Trail with lightweight, barefoot-friendly, minimalist running in mind. But we know you’ll wear it off-trail too.

You’ll look great when you pair the Mesa Trail with your favorite jeans, and is comfortable enough for all-day wear.

The breathable, mesh upper gets rid of the weight and keeps you cool. The moisture-wicking lining helps keep you dry. The welded protective covering of the adjustable midfoot and instep straps adds durability. The lugged, dual-chevron tread gives you sure-footed traction. And the “hidden” 3mm TrailFoam™ layer adds the right amount of protection and comfort.

Caring for your Mesa Trails

To clean your Mesa Trails, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting the Mesa Trail in the washing machine or dryer.

What’s different between TerraFlex and Mesa Trail?

The TerraFlex is our first shoe designed for trails. With a rugged, stitched upper, it’s great for running and hiking.

The Mesa Trail is made more specifically for trail running, with a lightweight breathable mesh upper, extra moisture wicking lining, and a protective welded covering for the adjustable midfoot and instep straps.

Both shoes have a grippy, lugged, dual-chevron tread, and a 3mm TrailFoam layer (“hiding” in the outsole) for just-right protection and comfort.

Do you ship internationally?

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).

How do I send a gift certificate?

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

Pure Awesome

So I've got about 75 miles or so in these since getting them and they're flippin' awesome! They're super light, super comfortable and I can feel every bit of the ground beneath me. I'll be buying these again when I need them. Go give them a shot, you won't regret it!

Great Shoe!

The Mesa Trail is light, flexible and enjoyable to wear on trails. I don’t suggest using it on extremely rocky trails, but it will be good for most trails where one can step around sharp rocks.

Mesa Trail

I wear the Mesa Trail since 4 years now. I've always used them without the sole. I've always found them to be the best minimalist shoes except the 5 fingers. They are my shoes for my daily life, work, chill, home, trail, walk, bike, ... Drawbacks : get easily wet, and needs to be well dried or washed in the washing machine. The sole got holed but the shoes has been replaced by customer service. The shoes get damaged with app. 1 year of daily service. Overall, I'm really happy with this shoes, but 2 points would need improvement : price and durability. Anyway, if you want to get minimalist, that's the shoes you'll need.

Maybe not the usual use

I love these - but use them most sitting down. In a kayak. I prefer shoes to boots but shoes are hard to find. These are comfy, roomy enough to wear over neoprene socks, don't hold too much water, and give good grip when landing on rocks.

Great fit. Great look!

These are really terrific shoes. I love the grip on the soul, as it like a hiking boot but still so flexible. The color and style of the shoe is also awesome. They just look cool and I get a lot of compliments on them. My daughter says they are "slay," so what's better than that?

Changed my life.

I bought these after a major Orthopedic surgery on my shattered ankle. Rehab tech said "get some supportive shoes" and pushed some overly padded name brand sneakers. Did some research and decided to take the hard road. Buying these was easy, using them, at first was hard. Then the feet started strengthening and spreading, and acting like feet! All my ligaments and tendons strengthened and bullet proofed my ankle. My feet have never felt better. Ever. No dr Scholls, no $300 insoles, just strong feet. I hike, run, travel and lounge in these. I hike with the dog 2 to 5 miles a day on all terrain and the grip doesn't quit! I feel like freaking spiderman. I take these on all my travels because they pack flat if I need dress shoes and are extremely comfortable for all my daily activities. I have put well over 5k miles on these and am going to keep wearing them. Just bought a pair of new prios that I'm looking forward to using on the pavement so I don't shred the nice tred of my Mesas. Because of these I also bought xcursions, that I've put a ton of miles on and some serious multi-day hikes with 35lb packs. These shoes just don't quit. Customer for life, thank you, thank you.
