Caring for your Ashlands

To clean your Ashlands, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting them in the washing machine or dryer.

FAQs

Is the Ashland temperature rated?

We find that temperature ratings aren’t very accurate. They vary greatly depending on environmental factors, like humidity and typical weather (a Tennessee snowstorm is quite different from one in Colorado!)

While the Ashland isn’t temperature rated, it would have a faux-shearling collar and heat-reflective insole to help keep your feet warmer!

Is the Ashland Waterproof?

It’s not. But the Ashland’s hemp canvas upper can be treated to provide additional water resistance.

Do you ship internationally?

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).

Great casual boot

Great casual shove-on shoes. Good in cold weather down to about 40 degrees, or colder with thick socks.

Love them! Really great but could improve a few things

I really love these boots! I have two pairs. One I use for slippers since now my feet refuse to wear any conventional shoes as they really hurt my feet. There are a few things that I don't like about them, but it doesn't change that I still love these boots. First, they certainly are not meant for wet weather. They leak through pretty quickly if you're walking in a lot of dewy grass or in a puddle that is more than an inch deep. Second, the buckle clasps come open on their own every few days. They won't stay closed so it's a bit annoying but I've glued one pair and probably will do the same with the other. And finally my main complaint is the rubber soles are not very grippy. Xero claims they're great grip, but I mean, why do I still slip? Similar boots I bought from Target have phenomenal grip and never failed me. I wish Xero would step up the game in that department and truly receive the feedback. I'd still tell someone to get these boots but I would love to see a lovely improved 2.0 version. So truly, otherwise, I love these boots. They're so comfy.Very relaxed fit and nice and flexible and warm for my feet 🙂 So grateful they exist!

Just didn't work for me

I have wide feet, and these just didn't work for me--they weren't comfortable and didn't fit well. I tried my usual size for boots (half size bigger than my true size), and they too small and tight in the toes and uncomfortable. So I exchanged for the next size up, and those were way too loose in the heel and too long, but still uncomfortable in the toes (though not quite as tight), and generally uncomfortable for me. Alas! They looked really nice, though, and I'm sure certain feet will do well in them.
