The Alpine overall is an amazing boot for the cold. – Jason N.

Enjoy that crisp winter weather in the Alpine – your fully-waterproof, lightweight, minimalist snow boot

Now you don’t need to sacrifice comfort and natural movement when the temperature starts to fall and snow is in the air (and on the ground).

Waterproof, cozy, and warm!

The Alpine keeps the wet out with a fully seam-sealed inner bootie and a waterproof membrane in the boot’s upper.

The insulated polyester fleece lining keeps those piggies nice and warm. And a heat-reflective insole adds to the winter-friendly comfort. And, yes, you can remove the insole for an even more “barefoot” feeling.

The Alpine has 200g of insulation so they should keep your feet warm no matter where your adventures take you.

Lightweight and grippy

A men’s 9 weighs just 14.5 ounces each, a luggy tread gives you sure-footed traction, and a flexible, non-elevated (zero-drop) sole lets your foot move naturally.

Whether you wear the Alpine for a romp in the snow or after you slip off your ski boots, remember…

Life-changing comfort and superior performance come from using your feet naturally.

Caring for your Alpines

To clean your Alpines, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting the Alpine in the washing machine or dryer.

The answer is YES! The Alpine is a great boot to pair with snowshoes, especially with the zero-drop, FeelTrue® rubber soles for a low center of gravity. Most snowshoes secure the boots with straps that go over the toes, instep, and around the heel, and will work just fine with the Alpine. And with our 200g insulation, rated to -25°/-32°C, and the fully seam-sealed, water-resistant inner bootie, your feet should stay warm and toasty while you’re hiking!

Unlike, say, sleeping bags, there’s no accurate temperature rating system for shoes. How a shoe handles the cold (or, rather, how a person handles the cold in a shoe) depends on factors beyond air temperature, including: ground temperature, humidity, blood circulation in your feet, foot mobility (the more you move, the warmer you might feel) and, of course, the socks you’re wearing (or not wearing, as the case may be).

The short answer is, the Alpine has 200g insulation, rated to -25°/-32°C.

With the seam sealed bootie, heat-reflecting insole, insulated synthetic lining, and lugged sole, we’re giving you a cozy natural movement option for staying warm in the cold.

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).
Also, check our Stores page. There may be a Xero Shoes dealer closer to you.

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

You can also take the Gift Certificate code and send it to the recipient.

Please go to Xero Shoes Return Policy page to learn about our 45-day return policy.

Great boots with one caveat

Overall I like these boots, they are very warm and kept my feet warm while I was hunting this year. The tread is great as well. If anything they get a little too warm for extended hikes for my taste. My only complaint is that they don't quite feel barefoot enough for me. Compared to the Prios there is definitely a noticeable sole, which to be fair I don't know if there's any real way around that. I also might be more sensitive than others to this because the first thing I did with my prios was take the insole out. Maybe if there was a removable liner with different levels of cushion on the bottom that might be better? Otherwise very good product.

Snow Sports in Comfort

The Alpine is like waking in a warm cloud while snowshoeing in some rugged conditions. I wasn't sure that the flexible uppers would stand up well to snowshoe bindings, but the Alpine stood up well while doing some serious backcountry snowshoeing. The soles were a bit slippery when directly walking on ice, but so too was the case for my buddies traditional boots. The Alpine is an excellent minimalist boot suited for winter activities.

Wet feet!

Went to get a christmas tree yesterday with an inch or 2 of snow and my feet were cold and wet! I like the feel and fit but they are not waterproof, so dissapointing.

Alpine boots, customer of several Xero kicks

Love the kicks. Always comfy and functional. They are evolving from obvious wide toe to more stylish and less obvious wide toe which is good. Shipping is always a struggle though. 2,3 4 weeks to get here is not uncommon. There is always another $20-30 in duty fees that I never get anywhere else online. Once your fulfilment side of the business catches up with the product, you’ll be good.

Warm boots

Excellent fit and comfortable, as all my Xero shoes are. They keep my feet comfortably warm while moving. If just sitting outside when it has been cooler the amount of insulation is not quite enough. That was expected, so no problem. For an insulated boot they are light weight and do not look big and clunky. I am very pleased with them.
