The Alpine overall is an amazing boot for the cold. – Jason N.

Enjoy that crisp winter weather in the Alpine – your fully-waterproof, lightweight, minimalist snow boot

Now you don’t need to sacrifice comfort and natural movement when the temperature starts to fall and snow is in the air (and on the ground).

Waterproof, cozy, and warm!

The Alpine keeps the wet out with a fully seam-sealed inner bootie and a water-resistant membrane in the boot’s upper.

The insulated polyester fleece lining keeps those piggies nice and warm. And a heat-reflective insole adds to the winter-friendly comfort. And, yes, you can remove the insole for an even more “barefoot” feeling.

The Alpine has 200g insulation, rated to -25°/-32°C, so they should keep your feet warm no matter where your adventures take you.

Lightweight and grippy

A men’s 9 weighs just 14.9 ounces each, a luggy tread gives you sure-footed traction, and a flexible, non-elevated (zero-drop) sole lets your foot move naturally.

Plus, the Alpine is made from 100% vegan-friendly materials.

Whether you wear the Alpine for a romp in the snow or after you slip off your ski boots, remember…

Life-changing comfort and superior performance come from using your feet naturally.

That’s what Xero Shoes let you do.

Natural Fit. Natural Motion. Natural Feel.

Plus Xero Shoes are backed with a 5,000-mile sole warranty.

Caring for your Alpines

To clean your Alpines, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting the Alpine in the washing machine or dryer.

Unlike, say, sleeping bags, there’s no accurate temperature rating system for shoes. How a shoe handles the cold (or, rather, how a person handles the cold in a shoe) depends on factors beyond air temperature, including: ground temperature, humidity, blood circulation in your feet, foot mobility (the more you move, the warmer you might feel) and, of course, the socks you’re wearing (or not wearing, as the case may be).

The short answer is, the Alpine has 200g insulation, rated to -25°/-32°C.

With the seam sealed bootie, heat-reflecting insole, insulated synthetic lining, and lugged sole, we’re giving you a cozy natural movement option for staying warm in the cold.

The answer is YES! The Alpine is a great boot to pair with snowshoes, especially with the zero-drop, FeelTrue® rubber soles for a low center of gravity. Most snowshoes secure the boots with straps that go over the toes, instep, and around the heel, and will work just fine with the Alpine. And with our 200g insulation, rated to -25°/-32°C, and the fully seam-sealed, water-resistant inner bootie, your feet should stay warm and toasty while you’re hiking!

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).
Also, check our Stores page. There may be a Xero Shoes dealer closer to you.

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

You can also take the Gift Certificate code and send it to the recipient.

Perfect.

So far so good. They do not disappoint just like all of my other Xero shoes. Unfortunately it just hasn’t been cold enough to wear them much. Very comfortable.

Hunting Boots

Xero is the only barefoot style shoe that works for me. I have tried so many brands and they all seem to be trending toward regular shaped shoes with small toe boxes. This year I wanted to try this boot for hunting elk. I put on at least 15 miles a day for 5 days (only recommended if you have conditioned your feet for it). I am impressed, the boot kept my feet dry, and besides dirt show no signs of wear. Given the terrain I absolutely expected these to fall apart. They have since gone on two other hunting trips and will remain my shoe of choice. Xero shoes are the best.

Extremely warm

Great problem to have that I can't wear them for very long in good weather. They feel great on my feet. I need some snow to do more than break them in.

To be continued

Sorry guys I haven’t tried them out yet. I’m a rural carrier for the postal service. Winter is coming and every year I can’t seem to find a decent boot that holds up throughout the cold work day. I don’t expect miracles I just don’t want my feet to be numb by the end of the day. If these achieve that you have me in there like swim wear for life. Also Your customer service is fantastic. Stay neat.

I like the looks of this snow boot . I really like the comfortable feel of the way My foot meets the ground . A more natural feel foot to ground at each step .

Glad I got them this year

Looking forward to the snow this year, I didn't grab a pair in time last winter so I made sure to buy them early this year. Have not tried them in the snow yet but the fit is comfortable.

Warm, weatherproof and minimal

The Alpine is the shoe that led me to Xero. I was tired of heavy super stiff winter boots aggravating my plantar fasciitis. So I started searching and found these. I decided they were worth a try and bought them as soon as stock was available…. And after just a short test walk, I immediately ordered a pair of sandals and a pair of shoes from Xero, I was that impressed. I have yet to test these in snow because we haven’t had any yet, but I’ve worn them out on a few rainy walks in the low fifties. I can attest now they are as weatherproof as any goretex shoe or boot I’ve owned - which is quite a few. They are also quite warm - within 10 minutes, they were too warm for the low fifties, and I was only wearing thin liner socks. I have no doubt that with a proper warm wool sock, these would be quite warm enough for snow and ice and temps well below freezing. I really look forward to taking them out once we get some snow. As for fit and feel - they are much lighter than any other snow boot, and much more flexible. And when compared to other winter boots, the ground feel is absolutely off the charts. If you try to compare them to something like a Xero Prio, they will seem a bit heavy and stiff…. But that is just not a fair comparison. I highly recommend these for anybody looking for a minimalist winter boot, or for anybody who is tired of their heavy bulky stiff winter boots and looking for something easier to walk in.

The only Barefoot Winter boot available

Haven’t gotten to test them in the cold and snow, since I bought them in advance of winter, but I’m excited to see how they do. Will edit at that time.
