The Alpine overall is an amazing boot for the cold. – Jason N.

Enjoy that crisp winter weather in the Alpine – your fully-waterproof, lightweight, minimalist snow boot

Now you don’t need to sacrifice comfort and natural movement when the temperature starts to fall and snow is in the air (and on the ground).

Waterproof, cozy, and warm!

The Alpine keeps the wet out with a fully seam-sealed inner bootie and a water-resistant membrane in the boot’s upper.

The insulated polyester fleece lining keeps those piggies nice and warm. And a heat-reflective insole adds to the winter-friendly comfort. And, yes, you can remove the insole for an even more “barefoot” feeling.

The Alpine has 200g insulation, rated to -25°/-32°C, so they should keep your feet warm no matter where your adventures take you.

Lightweight and grippy

A men’s 9 weighs just 14.9 ounces each, a luggy tread gives you sure-footed traction, and a flexible, non-elevated (zero-drop) sole lets your foot move naturally.

Plus, the Alpine is made from 100% vegan-friendly materials.

Whether you wear the Alpine for a romp in the snow or after you slip off your ski boots, remember…

Life-changing comfort and superior performance come from using your feet naturally.

That’s what Xero Shoes let you do.

Natural Fit. Natural Motion. Natural Feel.

Plus Xero Shoes are backed with a 5,000-mile sole warranty.

Caring for your Alpines

To clean your Alpines, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting the Alpine in the washing machine or dryer.

Unlike, say, sleeping bags, there’s no accurate temperature rating system for shoes. How a shoe handles the cold (or, rather, how a person handles the cold in a shoe) depends on factors beyond air temperature, including: ground temperature, humidity, blood circulation in your feet, foot mobility (the more you move, the warmer you might feel) and, of course, the socks you’re wearing (or not wearing, as the case may be).

The short answer is, the Alpine has 200g insulation, rated to -25°/-32°C.

With the seam sealed bootie, heat-reflecting insole, insulated synthetic lining, and lugged sole, we’re giving you a cozy natural movement option for staying warm in the cold.

The answer is YES! The Alpine is a great boot to pair with snowshoes, especially with the zero-drop, FeelTrue® rubber soles for a low center of gravity. Most snowshoes secure the boots with straps that go over the toes, instep, and around the heel, and will work just fine with the Alpine. And with our 200g insulation, rated to -25°/-32°C, and the fully seam-sealed, water-resistant inner bootie, your feet should stay warm and toasty while you’re hiking!

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

The Alpine shoe/boot is warm and good in cold environment( I have not worn in snow). I am used to wearing a minimalist shoe- so I find the sole to be hard and not flexible. Especially In the arch of the foot

Great minimalist winter boot

I have worn these boots for a full winter and been very happy with them. I live in northern Canada where -30 is nothing unusual. I have worn these boots walking in -20c with no complaints wearing a larger winter sock. They are the best winter minimalist boot out there hands down. I have tried every boot that has come across my bow and these work well. The only downside is that due to construction they will wear out after a season as most minimalist shoes do. I have about 200kms hiking and 150kms walking in the pair. I have worn Xero for 5 years and know the brand well. Happy to see them in the winter boot market.

Love my Alpines! Wish they would stock more than 2 pair per year though.

The Alpines are probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Size 12's, and sized perfectly & nice wide toe box. I bought my first pair in October of 2020, and they've been out of stock ever since! I would've bought 2 more pairs, given the chance. Seems like losing out on sales over Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Xmas, Cyber Monday, etc because you only ever stock a couple of pairs in each size every year is counterproductive. Please start getting some inventory on hand!

Great winter boot

Used them for everything this winter, went through mud , snow , on trails with crampons , and with my snowshoes. They are warm comfortable and a great all purpose boot . Only reason i didnt give it full marks was some of the stitching came undone which they quickly sent a replacement pair for .

Alpine - men boot

I purchased these because the women’s sizes were sold out. As comfortable as they were, they were just a tad too wide for me. I returned them but will definitely buy the women’s version when my size is back in stock.

Love the boots, wish there was a total black version and a little taller, but these are warm, comfortable and waterproof.

Best Winter Boots!

Warm, waterproof...what more can you want? Oh right! flexible, zero drop, not clumpy! Yes, these are "clumpier" than other Xero shoes, but compared to regular winter boots, these are the best! I've worn them daily on winter hikes and used them with my snowshoes and crampons quite a few times. They are my go-to!

Fixed my gait. Work great.

My overall experience has been really good. It came to my attention that I needed to fix my gait. I had never walked properly. Hard heel hitting and hyper-extended knees. No more plantar fasciitis either. Bought Alpines for wet, winter weather. Got to test them out this winter. They work great too. The only place they don't work is on the roof. Too slippery. For roof work, I wear Vans. I bought and wear the sandals kit, the Alpines, and just bought a pair of shoes for in between winter and summer. No more gait issues.

Keeping my feet warm and dry

I love these boots! They are a smidge stiffer then a typical minimal shoe but I can still feel the ground when walking. We have had a snowy winter this year and my feet have stayed warm when walking in the snow for multiple hours. I find these comfortable for walking or hiking on varied terrains and they are highly recomended.
