Caring for your Alpines
To clean your Alpines, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting the Alpine in the washing machine or dryer.
FAQs
The answer is YES! The Alpine is a great boot to pair with snowshoes, especially with the zero-drop, FeelTrue® rubber soles for a low center of gravity. Most snowshoes secure the boots with straps that go over the toes, instep, and around the heel, and will work just fine with the Alpine. And with our 200g insulation, rated to -25°/-32°C, and the fully seam-sealed, water-resistant inner bootie, your feet should stay warm and toasty while you’re hiking!
Unlike, say, sleeping bags, there’s no accurate temperature rating system for shoes. How a shoe handles the cold (or, rather, how a person handles the cold in a shoe) depends on factors beyond air temperature, including: ground temperature, humidity, blood circulation in your feet, foot mobility (the more you move, the warmer you might feel) and, of course, the socks you’re wearing (or not wearing, as the case may be).
The short answer is, the Alpine has 200g insulation, rated to -25°/-32°C.
With the seam sealed bootie, heat-reflecting insole, insulated synthetic lining, and lugged sole, we’re giving you a cozy natural movement option for staying warm in the cold.

We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.
All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.
Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.
International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.
Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.
All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).

Alpine 12 M
Nice warm boots. They could be taller so snow couldn’t sneak in as easily when hiking. Toe box feels a bit cramped for being a barefoot style shoe. Wish they weren’t made in china

Very comfortable
I liked them enough to buy 2 pare. They are very comfortable like bedroom slippers. Water proof I wore them on some wet rainy days feet stayed dry. I understand these are a feel the earth kind of boots . Not really enough traction in snow and didn't feel comfortable with my Yaktrax. Definitely not enough support for cleats. Will be wearing them for smaller hikes summer and fall. Mr. Rock

Comfortable, warm and functional
I initially purchased the Alpine to just have a "barefoot" winter boot. They quickly took the place of my winter fat biking boot. With the addition of some Bison wool felt insoles I have worn these in temperatures down to -20°F with relative confidence and comfort. I like these so much I bought my wife 2 pairs and myself a 2nd pair.

Great boots!!
These boots are GREAT!! Warm comfortable and waterproof. Went to Norway and Finland to chase the Northern Lights in January last year and my feet were nice and warm. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Warm and Comfy, but Slippery and Noisy
I've had this shoe out in -25 and deep snow with no problems with cold or discomfort walking. HOWEVER, the bottom of the shoe hitting the ground is rather stiff and makes the shoe very slippery on any semi-smooth surface, cold or wet (ex. concrete, large rocks). It also makes a popping sound after I lift my foot up off the ground. Making a quite walk in the woods a noisy one. Not very pleasant.
