Amy Velasco

My name is Amy Velasco born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I’m a single mother of two lovely daughters. The summer of 2015 I picked up running from a hard battle with depression, I never thought I become a long distance trailrunner/ hiker. I did 5 & 10K marathons, until last year my first North Face challenge a half marathon in San Francisco.

I started this year 2018 in full force training, exceeding anything I thought possible with determination doing my first 26.2 marathon & 50K at Leona Divide.

I’ve come a long way from where I once was now on a mission to end stigma on depression, looking forward to many more adventures, accomplishments with Xero Shoes a long my side.
