Xero Shoes on ABC’s Shark Tank on Feb 1st!

For all of you who, for the last 3 years, have said to us, “You guys should be on Shark Tank!”:

  1. You can stop saying it now
  2. You’ll appreciate how good of a secret we’ve kept ;-)

While Lena and I were taking our first vacation since starting our company, we got an email saying that we’re scheduled to appear on Shark Tank on Friday, February 1st. The show is on ABC and airs at 9pm Eastern and Pacific, 8pm Central and Mountain time.

For those who don’t know the show, check out ABC.com. For those of you who know Dragon’s Den from the U.K. and Canada… same idea (in fact, 2 of the same Sharks).

In essence, Lena and I will be pitching 5 investors — the Sharks — to get an investment in our company and take it to the next level.

We couldn’t be more excited than to see what happens when we air, and when over 7 MILLION people discover our barefoot sandal company.

BTW, we appear as Xero Shoes on the show and, if all goes well, we’ll be using our new site at www.XeroShoes.com starting next week!

    Best Xero Shoes feature, it’s aquatic! So you know you can swim in the Shark Tank with them, and not drown. And if that doesn’t work, you can hop right out and start running without skipping a beat ;-)

    just saw you guys and cant wait to try a pair out ,I don’t care what the shark’s say but I have had the worse luck with my feet and the only shoe that works for me right now is ComfortClogs they are easy on the bottom of my feet what little bit I can walk and they don’t fit to my feet because my feet hurt all over so I can wait to try this one out because I have never found a sandal that doesn’t hurt my feet. So glade I was watching…

    why would the hole punch and string not be included in the kit ,kit means everything you need to do the project, got a pair but , the way it looks to be priced . It doesn’t seem fair to show a price for a kit then pay extra for the stuff to make it with, all most cheeper to let you make them, just saying

      The punch and lace ARE included in the kit (go to the kit product page and you’ll see that).

    It’s between your toes, it’s TINY… and there are other ways to lace it.

    FWIW, valuing a growing start up at 4x sales is pretty conservative… or so our industry experts, VC friends, and investors told us. Besides we were open to an actual counter offer. You gotta start somewhere in a negotiation ;-)

    i watched ur product on Shark Tank. looks like a great product. im glad u stood ur ground with the Sharks n refused there 50% proposal of ur company. i think u will do great on ur own. im looking for the site now to purchase a few. pairs.
